REDLINE PT 1 - Wolfhound 2 by miudream

This is part 1 of a two part redline that I did for



I gathered a reference picture that was a similar pose as the original drawing and traced the picture as a reference for 100% correct anatomy

Prior to lining the reference picture I used the reference for my redlining so that I could compare the redline to the 100% correct anatomy.

I compared the original drawing with the redline, then the original drawing with the 100% correct anatomy.

It's important to note that the anatomy will always depend on the style the artist is trying to convey. Some artists have a style which allows for technically "incorrect" or "cartoon" anatomy while others prefer realism. Both styles still require knowledge of anatomy such as the elongated body and legs of the wolfhound compared to other breeds.
